Meet the P+ Foundation
The ultimate goal of the ProducerPlus Foundation is to increase equality and opportunity for developing communities around the world. We intend to do so by fundraising capital in order to implement the ProducerPlus Program as well as Corporate Social Responsibility projects focused on the improvement of educational and health conditions within the community while at the same time protect the environment.
The ProducerPlus Foundation is located in the United States and will be actively fundraising and will be the recipient of funds and disburses those funds directly to the implementers of the program and projects within the various communities.
The Foundation has identified four main areas of focus which comprise of four pillars around which every project is developed.
The Ecuadorian Chapter´s main focus is the implementation of projects and programs in local communities while at the same time promoting and maintaining stakeholder relationships with local institutions and partners.
In addition the Chapter will be responsible to manage the implementers and ensure the integrity and compliance in the execution of the mandate, as well as the coordination of audits.
The German chapter of the ProducerPlus Foundation is primarily centered on fundraising efforts aligned with promoting the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (UN) with a focus on social issues such as fighting poverty, reducing inequality and promoting gender diversity, and environmental issues such as climate, biodiversity and species protection.
By helping small-holder farmers become professional business people, the program contributes to the improvement of productivity on cocoa farms, thereby increasing farmers’ incomes, reinforcing rural communities, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of cocoa farming.
In order to properly implement the Program, as well as, being able to measure impact, we have developed the following four primary tools: the MRF (Member Regsitration Form), FDP (Farm Development Plan, CBS (Cocoa Business Standard) and the curriculum for trainings.
Industry specialists as well as third party auditors, will be contracted to provide external oversight for the program and confirm that it meets all goals and requirements.
The Foundation will provide regular reporting on the status and results of the implementation of the Program and its Curriculum at various levels such as individual farmer, farmer group, community, country, program, implementer etc.
